6:30 PM - 8:00 PM
Nelson Room (L+R)

Event Details

My name is Reya Jasmin. I am a 30 year old trans woman. I grew up in southern MA near the RI border. I graduated from Framingham State University in 2011 and have been working as a Software Engineer in Andover, MA, since I graduated. I admitted to myself that I needed to transition in August of 2017. I started hormone replacement therapy (HRT) in May of 2018. I came out at work in August of 2018. Ever since then, I have been living as my true self full-time. I live in Plaistow with my wife and our 3-year-old son.

After the library hosted its "Ask a Muslim Anything" program, I approached the library and offered to do the same sort of talk myself -- so, this is "Ask a Trans Woman Anything!" I'd like to have an open conversation about my experience and hope it helps build greater understanding in our community and society in general. I hope you come and take the opportunity to ask me anything!
