This biographical drama recounts the life and times of legendary fantasy author J.R.R Tolkien (Nicholas Hoult)  From young orphan to schoolboy within an artistic group of friends, Tolkien navigates love (with Edith Bratt played by Lily Collins), loss (serving as second lieutenant in World War 1), and ultimately finds literary success with "The Hobbit" and "The Lord of the Rings."
